Previous passing thoughts of a Pageminder

Passing thoughts on August: I'm reminded of a book that until quite recently I was the proud owner of, " My Brother was an Only Child" by Jack Douglas (1959). I believe it was Chapter 19 that said something on the order of, " To h--- with Chapter 19. Every d--- book you pick up has a Chapter 19." It's not that I have anything against this or any other August, in fact, this was a rather good month, but, nonetheless, almost the same goes for it.
