(Sandy's) Marie Wade 1997 - 2008

My trusty dog and pool buddy, Marie, passed away earlier this month. She had cancer. She didn't suffer. She was a "party girl" right to the end.

Marie was another great dog in my very short list of all-time really good dogs. She was the "top dog" here for the last 6 years. She is definitely a hard act to follow.

So, the "top dog" collar hangs on the fridge as no other dog here has earned the right to wear it. I'm not sure either of the two I still have — Tara and Bob Harper — ever will. Don't get me wrong, they are good dogs, just not top dogs.

Sometimes life sucks… losing Marie was one of those moments.
